Hospitalization!: DKA requires intensive management in usually in the intensive care unit. Patients are given IV fluids, Insulin and blood is monitored frequently to stabilize electrolyes.

Very complex: Hi. This will not do the complexity justice, but generally DKA is treated in an ICU with IV fluids, IV insulin, and aggressive electrolyte management. That makes it almost sound trivial. But it's not. Good luck!
