I have a lipoma on my bursa. i am awakened by pain in my shoulder and have discovered a hard lump above the lipoma . can the lipoma lead to a cyst?

Not likely: But, the lipoma can grow and cause more symptoms. It's possible it may break out of its first pocket and feel like a different lump. If lipomas grow or cause symptoms like pain etc., then they should be removed.
