See a surgeon: If you think you need a test, such as a lymph node biopsy, you should call your primary doc to set things up with a surgeon. Complete removal of the lymph node can be done and then a pathologist can analyze it. It seems strange this has gone on for one year? Not sure about your management to date, but hope things improve...

ENT: if your lymph node is in neck area. Was the Ultrasound you had done a "Thyroid US" or "Soft tissue neck" UltraSound. A "benign appearing nodule" report sounds like a Thyroid finding - in that case you can also see an Endocrinologist who performs FNA (fine needle aspiration). Check with your Family Doctor to see if a referral would be appropriate
