A member asked:

I went on a low fodmap diet and eat basically no fruit now. would that be considered healthy, or should i think about adding a vitamin to my diet to capture some of the nutrients that i might miss?

No fruit diet: You should eat a good variety of fruits in your diet as they are low in calories and provide a lot of nutrients, phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Plus they taste good!

Eat fruit!: What is FODMaP and why are you on this diet? I see no advantage to cutting fruit or vegetables out of any diet. It is the most natural way to getting vitamins and low-calorie nutrients in.
