Protection: Those blind in one eye are more vulnerable in the other. This is not because it is being "used" more - it will not wear out. But it is now the leading eye and the leading eye is more often injured. Your husband should always have safety glasses on hand, never do things like hammer nails without these on. He should curb his agression as fighting is also a cause of eye injury.
