A member asked:

7 wks 3 days pregnant i got blood tests. protein s, activity is 39. protein c, factor v/viii, prothrombin, b2 glycoproteins, lupus anticoagulant, cardiolipin, antithrombin iii are normal. i have always bled easy and no history of clots. is this bad?

This sounds good overall but the tests you mention are usually done because of clot history rather than bleeding history. An older test called a “bleeding time” test can help diagnose certain bleeding disorders like Bon Willebrand’s disease which could definitely affect the amount of bleeding after delivery of an infant.
