There is a serious issue as to whether or not asymptomatic gallbladders should be removed. However there is another issue: GB cancer which is almost always found with stones the longer u have them the > your chances are of getting GB cancer.

Depends: Millions of people have gallstones that do not cause any symptoms. If you do not have any signs of gallbladder disease you have nothing to worry about and do not need surgery. If you have had pancreatitis or episodes of abdominal pain with N/V, you should consider seeing a surgeon. Gallbladder surgery is very common and is done on an outpatient basis, but only needed if you have symptoms.
