Can gallstones affect blood glucose? was pre-diabetic for years until i had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones. my blood glucose is normal ever since. i'm not complaining, but very curious why? no one has been able to explain this to me?

Diabetes and prediabetes is very closely linked to weight. It is possible that the operation and subsequent recovery caused you to lose weight because of decreased appetite and that weight loss is the cause of your normal blood glucose. Try to keep your weight at or below where you are now to prevent recurring illness.
