Perhaps, but: You should have experienced the symptoms either while wearing cast, or at time of removal, not starting 10 months afterwards.

Probably not: First why do you think you have nerve damage?Only way a cast can produce nerve damage is by compresion(too tight) and sure if that was the case you would have complained with pain and tha cast would have been removed or changed.I doubt the cast was the culprit.
