Could be from meds: Serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) or aspartate aminotransferase, AST and serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) or alanine aminotransferase (ALT) are biomarkers of liver injury. Accutane, used to treat acne, is associated with elevations in AST and ALT in about 10% of users - but rarely leads to liver damage. See your dermatologist and repeat the tests. Dosage adjustment may help.
