Yes: There is no greater life stressor than losing a child. Ptsd, depression, anxiety are all common after the loss of a child. Anyone who has lost a child should seek out a highly qualified therapist to help them through this ordeal.

Usually?: Grief from loss of a child can be ravaging. Grief can take many forms & there is often an overlap in symptoms with ptsd. However, this does not mean that the parent will develop ptsd.
