A member asked:

What diet changes to increase "good cholesterol"?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Increasing HDL: Hdl is your happy cholesterol that protects you from heart disease. It is very hard to increase but Niacin or Niaspan (niacin) can help, exercise, losing weight, fish oil and some statins can help. Focus on improving all of your numbers so even if you get this up a little but your LDL comes down alot, the risk ratio improves.
