Severe tonsillitis : I personally prefer to remove tonsils well after an acute infection has resolved. The tonsil is less likely to bleed and fall apart during surgery and post operative bleeding risk is much less. For the moment, take antibiotics as prescribed and have a detailed conversation with your ent. You may also wish to consider a second opinion.
