Mast cells: Among other things, this lights up mast cells, which tend to be increased in interstitial cystitis which may be a diagnostic consideration. Leave interpretation up to the pathologist; if there's a question, ask for a few other pathologists to look at the biopsy.

Curious if there's other reasons besides mastocytosis that gi biopsies would be tryptase/cd117/cd25 +? Those mast cells appeared normal & serum tryptase is only high normal at baseline. Tests done bc of frequent gi issues, anaphylaxis etc. Thanks?
