Common for ? cancer: Bladder biopsy is necessary in all cases of suspected or proven bladder tumors. Suspected by abnormal appearing area/s or lesions in bladder lining. Necessary to make complete diagnosis when tumor is found by cystoscopy, ultrasound, ct or mri. Pathology of biopsy specimen helps to identify + grade type + severity of malignancy. As well as degree of invasion (stageing). Necessary to plan treatment.
