To give info.: Biopsies help provide information as to what exactly caused the disease in you. The answer will help with treatment options. In the case of your gall bladder, you may have gall stones and figuring out what type of stones they are may help your dr. Tell you what foods you should or should not eat more of, etc. Biopsies will also let us know if there are any malignant cells.
