It's simple: If you want to lose weight without exercise, you have to burn more calories than you eat daily. People who exercise burn lots of calories. You will gain weight if you continue to eat normally and do not exercise. You don't have to exercise to lose weight. You just have to eat less calories than you burn on a daily basis. Garbage in, garbage out. We all eat more than we need! good luck.

Lifestyle changes: Unfortunately, there is no quick fix to losing weight. Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Simple changes in your diet can help you lose weight, but you will eventually plateau. Decreasing fried food intake, sugar, soda, salt, etc. will help you lose weight if you consume a lot of these products. Coupled with exercise, you will lose faster and maintain your weight loss.
