A member asked:

Is it possible for dental implants to help correct a bite issue and tmj?

YES: Dental implants can be a part of a treatment plan to correct your bite, whether it be to place crowns or a denture on the implants. However, there are other options, as well. Consulting with a skilled implant dentist successful in full mouth reconstruction and malocclusions (incorrect bite) will help you find the right answers for you. It may require a couple of specialists to evaluate your case.

Definitely, yes: for the bite issue. You will get a perfect bite, but there is not warranties if the TMJ will improve. According to NHS: "Until we have scientific evidence for safe and effective treatments, it’s important to avoid, when possible, procedures that can cause permanent changes in your bite or jaw."

Yes it can: TMJ may be related to overclosure of the jaws and implants may allow the bite to be opened positioning the TMJ in a more relaxed position. This can also be used to correct in some cases bite issues depends on the issue and if the whole arch is being replaced with implant retained bridge or only part of it

Maybe: Implants will help establish the bite. This will stabilize the TMJ but is not a primary treatment for TMJ.
