Infection rx/surgery: Pneumatoceles are walled off areas of the lung filled with air and they are prone to infection. Some are formed during lung development . They can be discovered later if they are impinge on the airway or become infected. Antibiotics and surgical evaluation may be indicated depending on these and other factors.
