A member asked:

How do you distinguish between a cavitation, pneumatocele and an air bronchogram on an x-ray?

An air: bronchogram would not be normally confused with the other 2 entities. Pneumatoceles and cavitations may sometimes be difficult to distinguish from one another on chest xray.
