Check with a dentist: If this a one time incident and does not have trauma history, you might not to worry much. If the condition come back, it is suggested that you check with your dentist see if the pain comes from your gum or the tooth self after proper xray taken.

Inflammation: Your gums may have been inflamed before you brushed and cleaned the area. You should be seeing a dentist every six months.. It may be time to make an appointment.
