Do it again?: If you face the fear with the next mri, you will do better. And if you had a week's worth of mri's you be a total expert. But...Hopefully you won't need that many ! if you can get something for your anxiety such as Lorazepam or alprazolam, (by prescription from your doctor) and take a small amount about a half hour before the procedure, you should be less scared and do much better the next time.

Open MRI or Sedation: If you need MRI scans in the future, you may benefit from an open MRI scanner if one is available in your area. It is open on two sides and some people tolerate it better. Another option is sedation MRI where you get conscious sedation during your MRI scan. Again, this is not available in all practices or hospitals.
