A member asked:

I'm 26 weeks pregnant & have taken 8 diflucan (fluconazole) pills for yeast infections during my pregnancy by my ob. didn't know it was category c! have i hurt baby?!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diflucan (fluconazole) - pregnancy: It is extremely unlikely that Diflucan (fluconazole) caused any harm to the baby. Most studies have shown the medication to be safe. High doses used less than 10 weeks of gestation are one exception. The overall risk is low, especially if you had a normal anatomy ultrasound at 18-22 weeks.
