Dental exam: It sounds like your symptoms are not getting better just with the antibiotics. See a dentist asap for an evaluation of your painful swollen gums. Treating your mouth will require more than just antibiotics.

Return: If the medication is not helping either the diagnosis has to be reexamined, your medication increased, or your medication switched. You must also see a Dentist to address your infected gums. That may or may not be related to your throat symptoms. But swollen airway may be extremely dangerous and requires immediate attention.
