Had flu shot 3 days ago. spot on arm still painful, swollen, red and hot. still feeling unwell; fever, bodyaches, weakness and sore throat. normal?

Call the Dr: A large body of research indicates that immunizations against influenza are very useful. A little swelling, itch, tenderness at injection site is acceptable. There may be mild muscle aches for a few days. If your symptoms persist more than a week, consider that this may be something else not related to the shot.
