A member asked:

I have an over bite aren't they suppose to fix that before they took out my braces or will the retainer fix it?

Retainers: Retainers are passive, not active, treatment appliances. They don't "fix" problems. They stabilize treatment results. If you have a question about your treatment results please return to the dentist or orthodontic specialist that treated you for review and reevaluation.
