If possible, you: need to follow up with your orthodontist for an exam . I'm not sure what problem you're having or what you bit into. If you're still using the appliance, that also needs to be checked. Dr. Anne.

Fixed retainer: Fixed retainers have a finite life span. If removed teeth are likely to shift. Best to return to your Orthodontist for replacement. If that's not possible, have your Dentist recommend another Orthodontist.
