A member asked:

What is the truth about egg yolks and ldl cholesterol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yolks have fat: Egg yolks have about 186grams of saturated fat which is half the fat intake for the day. If your LDL is high, egg whites are better since they do not have any fat in them & are a great source of protein. If you must eat egg yolks, use the eggs with omega 3 and limit to 3 egg yolks per week.
