Burping: Ask your physician to refer you to a GI doctor. Your symptoms may be due to reflux esophagitis (gerd). Your problems may be resolved if you take a proton pump inhibitor such as prilosec. Good luck and speak to your physician.

Burping is learned: This is learned behavior. You are also causing acid reflux by this behavior and this is most likely damaging your throat. Perhaps you need a short run with a behavioral therapist to work on your mental and physical situation.
