Palpitation?: I suspect you're feeling a skip in your heart's rhythm. These are common and usually not serious. To be sure, ask your doctor to record your heart rhythm for 24 or 48 hours (Holter monitor). To minimize them, avoid nicotine, caffeine, decongestants, certain antibiotics, and alcohol. Try to get plenty of sleep and minimize stress if you can.
