Almost any: Gastroenterologist can discuss the indications and limitations of the procedure. If your gallstones are in the gallbladder and causing symptoms consult a general surgeon. No need for an ERCP in that circumstance.

Here is...: Practically using ERCP to remove gallstones is only good for those stuck in the large bile ducts, not for those still inside gallbladder. Otherwise, ERCP can do a lot good for diagnosis with dirct vision or imaging studies under fluoroscopy. For detail, ask your doctor; don't hesitate to do so.

Stones in duct: Specialized invasive procedure , done by some GI specialists, to remove stones in common bile duct. Does not get rid of stones in gallbladder. I patient has stones in gb, and gets ERCP to remove impacted stones in duct, likely still get surgical removal of gallbladder. On the other hand, no symptoms, no specific rx.

Find gastroenterolog: Ercp is commonly done by a gastroenterologist. So you need to either find one yourself or ask your family doctor to help you locate one near you. They are not all that rare...Most towns with 20-30 thousand population will have 1 or 2 available.

ERCP: This is done by many surgeons and GI md's however its not used to take them out of the gallbladder but from the common bile duct.
