Complications: Fever and pain after an ERCP may mean that a complication is already present. You should notify the endoscopist about your current symptoms.

Four months ago my brother had a CBD obstruction caused by a gallstone and as a result also had a single episode of mild Cholangitis. He got his gallbladder removed and ERCP is done. Will his liver recover from the damage of those two conditions?
My brother had an ERCP 8 years ago to remove a gallstone which was completely removed. But I'm not sure if a CBD stent was placed or not. He has shown no symptoms of any stent blockage till date. Is it likely that no stent was placed?
