A member asked:

I don't understand... how can i be anemic when my iron is normal? iron: 42mg / ferritin: 4.1ng / hemoglobin: 10.3g / hematocrit: 33.6% / mch: 23.8pg

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You are Anemic: Anemia means your hemoglobin is less than normal(normal level is 12-14 grams). Since yours is 10.3 gm, you do have anemia. The cause of this anemia is what you need to find out with help from your doctor.
