Had anemia all my life. hemoglobin averages 11.5. recent = 10.8, hematocrit 34.8, mch 30.3, mchc 31. iron is good. recent colonoscopy = okay. new gastro doc very concerned. (all other labs excellent) should i be concerned? primary not concerned. ??

Your MCHC is low. If your iron binding capacity (IBC) is high it could indicate some problem absorbing iron through the years even if the serum iron is barely within normal range. Another cause of mild anemia is chronic inflammation. Do you have any disorders which fit into that category? You don't mention your MCV but if it's not elevated, vit B12 deficiency isn't your problem. ?See hematologist
