Teeth: Depends on the size of the space, sometimes your dentist could use veneers over your existing teeth to make the space smaller, in other instances braces may also help. You need to speak to your dentist. Good luck!

Space: The best way is to have orthodontics to bring the teeth together and then have the frenum, which is the cause generally, between the teeth removed (simple procedure and heals in a day or two). See your orthodontist and your dentist to discuss.

Timing, space size: Depending upon the size of the space, options are available with or without braces. If you possibly want to save costs and time, dental bonding is highly recommended. If the space is too large, then crowns, orthodontics or other options may have to be explored. Consider more than one opinion.

Cause?: Depends on the cause. May be tooth size, tooth position, gum tissue, and so many other reasons. Talk to your Dentist about whether the best treatment is Orthodontics to straighten your teeth, restorative treatment to reshape your teeth, or both. Gum tissue may also have to be reshaped to support the correction.
