A 34-year-old male asked:
How soon after anterior hip replacement can i begin my testosterone injections into my thigh? is there any risk, if so, what?

Blood clots: Whenever i see a young man on testosterone, my first question is why? Hopefully you have been diagnosed by an endocrinologist as truly needing to be on the medication. Testosterone injections are not the preferred way to do replacement since hormone levels will be very high initially. This can cause more side effects like increased blood counts, potential for blood clots. Topical gels are preferred.
