Likely question to ask is whether the thigh problem is due to disuse atrophy or nerve problem associated with prior surgery. An EMG study can help sort this out, and could be easily done prior to further surgery.

I would ask about femoral nerve injury. I agree with an EMG/nerve study of the right leg.
