A member asked:

What is causing pain along the top thigh at crease? worse on outside edge of upper thigh. burning pain. worse with use of leg. hip replacement 12/2019?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thigh burning: The most likely cause is a peripheral nerve impingement at the level of the groin ligament. In my experience,This (meralgia parasthetica) condition is more common in obese individuals or in people who sit a lot(such as truck drivers). However since you had hip surgery less than a year ago, there is a possibility that some nerve injury occurred. A neurologist can evaluate and advise you.
