Hydocele: A hydrocele is a fluid containing cystic mass in the scrotum connected to the testicle. It does not cause any significant change in fertility or virility and it is almost always benign. Surgery to remove the membrane that creates the cyst wall is done mainly for comfort or cosmetic reasons.

Hydrocele: 10% of varicocele repairs will develop a hydrocele, is a known complication of the surgery. If your hydrocele doesn't interfere with your daily activities, there is no need to do anything. It will not cause impotence.
