Can someone with bipolar disorder, but has not been hospitalized in 4 years, adopt a baby?

Yes: Having bipolar disease which is under control is very helpful. If however you have had several hospitalizations, it may be an impediment. I have several patients with bipolar wh have had babies or adopted and been wonderful parents.
