A member asked:

What type of diet would you suggest for women with pcos?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low carb diet: Since pcos is often associated with Insulin resistance a diet low in carbohydrates would be helpful. Carbs are sugars as well as starches like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. I would try for no more than 40 grams of carbs in a meal. A diet and exercise program that would promote weight loss would also be very helpful as pcos is also often associated with unwanted weight gain.
