Refresh: Is used to wet eyes for comfort and should not have steroid in it. Steroid should be clearly stated in the component section.

Often: Refreshâ„¢ brand artificial tears don't contain steroid medicine. This artificial tear is very safe and has minimal to rare side effects. Your grandmother may use these drops for ocular irritation associated with her dry eye condition.

Should be ok: Refresh is an artificial tear lubricating drop and does not contain steroid. I recommend the preservative free formula if she uses the drops often. Preservatives can have negative effects with chronic use. You should double check her drops to be sure she is not using a steroid drop as these are typically given after cataract surgery and can have negative effects on eye pressure and infection risk.
