Dry Eye after CE: Dry Eye after Cataract Extraction is not uncommon. Cataract surgery can cause dry eye to worsen or cause a temporary dry eye (corneal nerves are usually cut during surgery; also if cornea cut to decrease astigmatism). If no underlying meibomian gland disease/blepharitis or rosacea, sx can last days-months. Use lid hygiene (info: eyedoc2020.blogspot.com) routine, artificial tears for relief.
