Black dot?: Since you have an appointment with your dentist coming up , i would have him check this area. I would not panic. If you go to your dentist regularly , I am sure he has checked this area before and this black dot could have been there and you just noticed it recently. It could be a number of things such ax staining (amalgam tattoo) , etc.

See your dentist: The black dot is not generally a cause for concern and there are many potential causes. However, it is important to get discolourations checked as soon as possible. See your dentist ASAP.
