I have an impacted wisdom tooth but can only see dentist in 2 weeks i think it tried to erupt there's a small overgrowth of gum where it is but i don't see a tooth. only hurt today, brushed hard at an angle there's metallic taste, is it safe to wait?

As long as there is no infection it is okay to see your dentist as scheduled. If infection occurs, you will have pain and swollen gum at that site then you will need to see a healthcare provider for antibiotic.

The tooth is under the tissue growth so you want to keep area clean to avoid swelling and or infection. By a Waterpik to keep area clean and brush with a soft brush. You can wait if no severe swelling or pain arises.
