It depends: You want to pick the surgeon with the most experience doing this type of surgery. Some oncologists don't do much "ovarian preservation", and some general gynecologists spend more of their time doing obstetrics. So you need to do ask your gynecologist if s/he is comfortable with this surgery and how often s/he does it. Ideally s/he'll bow out and refer you to a specialist if s/he's not comfortable.
