OB/GYN specialty: Cyst in the ovaries is part of the specialty of OB/GYN, so I would say that you should be in good hands. You could ask your physician how many of these surgeries he has done in the past if that makes you feel better. Hope this helps.

Maybe: Do you have any additional information about the cyst? If there are any irregularities in the cyst or your tumor markers are elevated it couldn't hurt to be seen by a gyn oncologist. If the cyst is very simple this can easily be managed by your general ob gyn
