Vegies, fruit, protein: Emphasize low-glycemic organic veggies ; fruits, beans, nuts, seeds ; wild salmon, organic chicken ; eggs. Avoid sugar, most grains (moderate whole gluten-free grains ok), potatoes, sweeter fruits ; fried foods. I like dr. Furhman's diet: http://bit.Ly/1dhw9ht dr. Weil has useful info: http://huff.To/19ygs8y- see his "discuss that" link in his article. Exercise is also important! good luck!

Low carbohydrate: The answer to your question is more about what not to eat. Fat comes from your body processing an storing sugars and starches. The primary approach to losing belt fat is to limit carbohydrate intake - the other piece of that is to eat real food. The way to measure whether you're eating real food is to ask, did i buy this food wrapped in plastic or cardboard? If yes then it probably isn't real food.
