Psychotherapy + meds: Typically a combination of psychotherapy-- specifically a form of therapy called "exposure and response prevention" (you may have to do a little research to find a mental health professional trained in this)-- in combination with antidepressant medication (doses are higher than typically used for depression). As you progress with psychotherapy, you may find you need less (or no) medication.
