Maybe too early: As a pregnancy develops the yolk sac develops before the fetal pole. It is not unusual to have an ultrasound at 6weeks and not see a fetal pole, you may be a little earlier than expected based on your last menstrual period. A repeat ultrasound should be performed in a week or so to confirm that your pregnancy is growing normally. At that time, there should be a fetal pole visible.
